Please ask our sommelier about wine pairings
We have a large selections of mainly Organic, Biodynamic and Natural wines for all tastes and below is just a small idea of the varietals. Please ask staff for a recommendation to suit your palate.
ORGANIC WINE: regulation states that organic viticulture must look to maintain and protect ecosystems, soil fertility, natural resources, increase biodiversity and promote ecological cycles. Growers must eliminate or minimise the use of chemical interventions in favour of using organic products and are forbidden to use genetically modified products.
BIODYNAMIC WINE: this concept is often attributed to Rudolf Steiner in 1920's. The growers follow organic principles and also have an holistic approach to farming that incorporates soil health, animals and the use of homeopathic plant teas to support vine health.
NATURAL WINE: this idea is often accredited to Jules Chauvet in Beaujolais, where winemaking is produced without added sulphur. They are usually produced from organic farms with minimal intervention.
ORANGE WINE: produced from white grapes and fermented with skins on, resulting in an amber or orange coloured wine. Natural yeasts are generally used and no sulphur added giving it a very distinct and variable flavoured wine.
